I wish that liking Nirvana wasn’t cool or whatever because I really don’t like Nirvana’s fan base anymore.

I’ve loved Nirvana since I was 8 years old and you bastards are ruining their memory with your shitty soft-grunge and over-exaggeration of Kurt Cobain’s songwriting and technical ability.

Yes, Nirvana are my favourite band, but no, Kurt Cobain was not a “musical genius” and he wasn’t a “god”, nor was he one of the greatest guitarists or songwriters of all time. Nirvana were just a band like any other, but they just happened at the right time and produced some fucking great songs.

Yes it was

Yes it was

My favourite part in any Nirvana song is the way that Kurt says ‘in a daze ‘cause I’ve found God’ at the end of the last verse of Lithium.

Nirvana | Lithium live at The Palace, Melbourne, 1992

This is from one of two Nirvana bootlegs I have recorded in Australia (the other one being their Adelaide show) and it’s probably the best quality recording of an Australian show available (possibly in existence).

I don’t know whether to watch Live at the Paramount or Live at Reading ?????

Am I the only Nirvana fan who prefers the studio versions of every song on Unplugged in New York?

Seeing Live at the Paramount in cinema last year was seriously so amazing because it was the first time I (or anyone, really) has ever seen any footage of Kurt in full 1080p HD, and being on a huge cinema screen made it even more beautiful.

I actually almost cried at the start.

Ugh god, the Nirvana and Kurt Cobain tags are always so full of annoying, whiney teenage fans who get way too mad when people diss Nirvana.

Seriously; shut the fuck up, you’re ruining this fan base.

Watch this if you’re interested in seeing a very young Pat Smear getting into a fight with a bouncer

The Germs | Richie Dagger’s Crime

Never been so impressed by one of Pat Smear’s guitar riffs

Also, it’s hard to believe that this is the same guitarist as I saw playing with the Foo Fighters in December

Also he was in Nirvana for a while so that’s chill

The Sex Pistols is punk

Green Day is punk

Black Flag is punk

Misfits is punk

The Offspring is punk

Nirvana is punk

Dead Kennedys is punk

Minor Threat is punk

Operation Ivy is punk

Bad Brains is punk

blink-182 is punk

The Ramones is punk

NOFX is punk

Punk fans can be so fucking stupid, seriously

Whether you want to call it pop-punk, hardcore punk, horror punk or whatever, it still all comes from the same roots and it’s still fucking punk rock

I don’t fully understand the whole “Green Day isn’t punk” argument. Just because they don’t look or sound exactly like Black Flag or The Germs? These guys still grew up listening to bands like these, going to punk rock clubs and eventually playing at punk rock clubs. Their music is just a much more commercialised and big-budget version of punk rock, which really isn’t such a bad thing (mainstream doesn’t always mean bad, some people don’t seem to be able to grasp that concept)

But yeah chill, whatever lol, I don’t want to sound like an annoying 14 year old Green Day fan. Because as much as I do love Green Day, the fanbase sucks
