Just learned to play Freak by Silverchair (the parts I didn’t already know).
I think Miss You Love is close to being Silverchair’s best song (close, not quite)
I think I might try to learn it now.
‘Nick Pearson of PopMatters was highly critical of the album. He began his review with the statement “Once you reach the level of intellectual maturity where you can tell the difference between cryptic but poetic lyrics and nonsensical crap, you have outgrown Silverchair”, and continued in the same fashion throughout. Pearson likened Johns to Kurt Cobain, saying they share a common inability; “his inability to write lyrics”.
“Kurt Cobain”
“Inability to write lyrics”

Frogstomp made it to number 2 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 Australian Albums of all Time, I totally voted for it 8)
Not that I’ve really enjoyed anything they’ve done in the last 11 years, but they still released some of my favourite songs and albums of all time and are one of the few Australian bands I actually enjoy.
I just hope they reunite one day so I can have the chance to see them live, even if they play lots of their later songs that I really dislike. I’m sure they’d still play a few oldies.
But from what I’ve heard; Israel’s Son is the only song from Frogstomp that they still played live :(That’s kind of awesome because that’s my favourite Silverchair song, but that’s also my favourite album of theirs and one of my favourite albums of all time, and I would absolutely love to see some of those songs live. Like Tomorrow, that song is just a fucking classic.
